Uncontrolled and unethical fishing and logging have caused devastation on the largest lake in Indonesia. Lake Toba has been polluted more than ever. Lake Toba has the potential to be next Bali that attracts many opportunities in tourism sector. However, in order to achieve that level of attraction like Bali, there are preparations and process need to be dealt with. So the aim of this project is to build a crowdsourcing platform to help the local and government to restore Lake Toba’s mother nature, which would create opportunities for a tourist destination in the future. In order to gather the information, we form focus groups to go around Lake Toba to conduct interviews and surveys. There will also be a campaign website that gets help from international organizations and experienced people around the world to help solve this issue. So with both internal and external crowdsourcing method, we hope to gather the most useful information to help the local tackle the pollution and help them restore its environment with the goal of attracting tourist around the world to Lake Toba.
