Lake Toba is a vast tourist attraction located in Sumatra, Indonesia. In order to sustain the lake and place improvements, the project takes measures using a crowd sourcing platform to engage the local community. Multidisciplinary teams are formed in the project process whereby each team conducts weekly meetings to brainstorm ideas. Our process includes getting ideas from the people in the form of complains and using them as feedbacks Moreover, action plans, proposals, presentations and methodologies are developed in order to come up with cost structures and essential resources needed for the project. The team uses both secondary research and primary research to collect data. So far, we focus on the people of North Sumatra including its segmentation and planning. The project aims to constrain the lakes downsides and uses collective intelligence from the local community to improve its current state.
